Quarter Terms of Service

Effective date: May 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Quarter ("Quarter," "we," "us," or "our"), including the Quarter mobile application and related services (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using Quarter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Quarter is a productivity and time-awareness tool. It is not legal, financial, medical, mental health, or professional advice.

1. What Quarter Is

Quarter is a 15-minute check-in app that helps you notice where your time goes. The core features include:

• A radial dial of category tags you can customize.
• Recurring check-in prompts on your chosen interval (15, 20, or 30 minutes) within the day window you set.
• A planning view that lets you sketch out a day in 15-minute slots.
• A day map that records what you actually logged versus what you planned.
• Daily summaries with focus minutes, distraction minutes, top categories, and a focus score.
• A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island showing the next check-in countdown and tracked time.
• A snooze feature that pauses check-ins for a configurable interval.
• CSV export of your tracked time and day summaries.

Future versions may add or modify features as described in Section 7.

2. Eligibility

You may use Quarter only if you can form a binding agreement with us and are not prohibited from using the App under applicable law. If you use Quarter on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Your Responsibility For App Data

Quarter is designed to store your plans, check-ins, tags, time logs, notes, settings, and summaries locally on your device unless you choose to use optional Apple services such as iCloud backup or sync.

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of the information you enter.
• Maintaining backups you consider necessary, including using the in-app CSV export.
• Securing your device, Apple ID, iCloud account, passcode, and backups.
• Exporting or preserving data before deleting the App, changing devices, disabling iCloud, or resetting your device.

We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, operating system behavior, deleted backups, disabled iCloud settings, user action, third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

4. Permitted Use

You may use Quarter for personal or internal productivity purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the App except where allowed by law.
• Use the App to violate any law, regulation, third-party right, or Apple policy.
• Interfere with the App's operation, security, purchase validation, entitlement checks, or technical protections.
• Attempt to bypass payments, subscriptions, feature gates, or App Store purchase systems.
• Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our systems or third-party services.

5. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Lifetime Access

Quarter offers paid features through Apple In-App Purchase under the entitlement "Quarter Unlimited." Available products may include:

• A monthly auto-renewable subscription (quarter.monthly).
• An annual auto-renewable subscription (quarter.annual), typically with an introductory free trial when available.
• A one-time lifetime purchase (quarter.lifetime).

The exact products, features, trial terms, billing periods, and prices will be shown in the App and on the App Store before purchase. Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, promotions, and Apple's App Store pricing rules.

6. Auto-Renewable Subscription Terms

If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
• Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial or introductory offer may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted by Apple.
• Free trial eligibility is determined per Apple ID per subscription group; if you have already used the trial in the past, you will be charged the regular price.
• If subscription pricing changes, Apple may notify you and may require your consent depending on the type of change and applicable rules.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchase validation, subscription status, entitlements, and restore-purchase functionality. RevenueCat does not process your App Store payment; Apple processes App Store payments.

7. Lifetime Purchase Terms

A lifetime purchase is a one-time in-app purchase for the paid Quarter features described at the time of purchase. "Lifetime" means the supported lifetime of the App, not your lifetime or the lifetime of any device.

Lifetime access may end if:

• The App is discontinued.
• The App Store, Apple platform, operating system, or required third-party services no longer support the App.
• We are required to stop offering the App by law, platform rule, or technical necessity.
• You violate these Terms.

Lifetime purchases do not include future products, separate apps, unrelated services, or features we clearly identify as requiring a separate purchase.

8. Trials, Promotions, and Feature Changes

We may offer free trials, introductory prices, promotional offers, discounts, or limited-time access at our discretion. Eligibility may be determined by Apple, RevenueCat, or us. We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including paid features, provided we do not intentionally deprive active paying users of the core access they purchased without a reasonable substitute, refund path, or legally required remedy.

9. Refunds

Purchases made through Apple In-App Purchase are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We cannot guarantee that Apple will grant a refund.

10. Notifications, Reminders, and Live Activities

Quarter may provide notifications, reminders, check-ins, day-start prompts, day-end prompts, summaries, and similar productivity prompts, including a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. These are provided for convenience only. We do not guarantee that notifications or Live Activities will be delivered, displayed, or updated at any particular time or at all. Delivery may depend on device settings, Focus modes, notification permissions, Live Activity settings, battery state, Low Power Mode, operating system behavior, connectivity, Apple services, and other factors outside our control.

11. Photos Access

When you choose to share a day summary card, Quarter may request permission to save the resulting image to your Photos library. The App accesses Photos only for that purpose.

12. No Professional Advice

Quarter provides planning and productivity tools only. You are responsible for your decisions, schedules, commitments, obligations, work, health, safety, and compliance with applicable rules. Do not rely on Quarter as the sole method for critical reminders, emergencies, legal deadlines, medical needs, financial obligations, workplace compliance, or safety-critical tasks.

13. Intellectual Property

Quarter, including its design, software, interface, branding, graphics, text, features, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Media Services Terms and App Store rules.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Quarter or any intellectual property rights to you.

14. Third-Party Services

Quarter may rely on third-party services, including Apple services and RevenueCat, for App Store distribution, payments, subscriptions, iCloud backup or sync, diagnostics, purchase validation, and entitlement management. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, actions, or policies.

15. App Store Terms

Your use of Quarter is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and App Store rules. Apple is not responsible for Quarter or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Quarter. To the extent required by Apple's terms, Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.

16. Disclaimers

Quarter is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that the App will meet your needs, preserve all data, be compatible with every device or operating system version, or remain available indefinitely.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, missed reminders, missed deadlines, or substitute services, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use Quarter.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to Quarter will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us through the App for Quarter during the 12 months before the claim arose; or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

18. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, service providers, and licensors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your misuse of Quarter, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.

19. Termination

You may stop using Quarter at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to Quarter if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or others, attempt to bypass purchases or security, or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions.

20. Changes To The App Or Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or through the App Store. Your continued use of Quarter after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.
